Genew 5G eCPRI Front Haul Solution Overview
The Genew 5G NR RAN system is a new generation of wireless broadband mobile communication products developed accordance with the 3GPP standards and following the industry-leading open RAN architecture. The system adopts a flexible and expandable high-integration large-capacity baseband pool BBU and external RRU architecture, which is suitable for various networking forms such as macro base stations and small base stations, and can be widely used in scenarios such as operators, electrical power grid, and coal mines.
The 5G NR system has flexible networking. Multiple BBUs in the RAN can form a BBU POOL. Each CU and DU can be flexibly deployed in the virtual BBU POOL. The BBU POOL can also integrate MEC, UPF and other functional modules to realize edge computing and other functions. An example of the system network diagram is shown in the figure below.
