Genew, a member of the Broadband Forum (BBF), proudly participated in the recent Network X event from October 8-10. Collaborating with BBF, we jointly exhibited our cutting-edge products and solutions, highlighting the theme of empowering operators toward a more dynamic and service-driven broadband ecosystem.
At Network X, we explored the latest network innovations essential for enhancing broadband services. Genew established a strong technical presence in the broadband development ecosystem, particularly in the white-box PON arena. Our implementation of SDN (Software-Defined Networking) adhered to BBF and ONF specifications, leveraging the Netconf/YANG interface model proposed by China Telecom. By separating the control and forwarding planes of the OLT, we enabled cloud-based control functions while the hardware focused on traffic forwarding. This separation fostered an open and decoupled OLT architecture, transforming PON access networks into flexible, agile, and intelligent broadband solutions.
Genew actively participated in white-box OLT projects with major players such as Vodafone and Telecom Italia, underscoring our commitment to driving innovation in the global broadband market. Thank you for joining us at Network X as we showcased how we are shaping the future of broadband connectivity.
