The mSwitch UTEx-MRF is an Integrated Media Server designed to provide media related functions such as media manipulation (e.g. voice stream mixing) and playing of tones and announcements. Working in harmony with other mSwitch products, the mSwitch UTEx-MRF offers an end-to-end packet telephony solution that provides toll-quality voice and enhanced services while functioning seamlessly and transparently, providing maximum scalability and cost-efficiency.

The mSwitch UTEx-MRF can act as combined MRF(MRFC and MRFP) in small IMS network, or act as stand-alone MRFP working with a separate MRFC.
